The Opportunity:

The Implementation Team Manager under the Implementation organization within the Roche Support Network (RSN) manages the coordination of technical and support personnel responsible for instrument installation, implementation, evaluation, and customer training as needed. Manages the team to meet key performance metrics and expense management goals. 

This is a field-based role. You may reside anywhere in the US within 50 miles of a major metropolitan airport.
 

Job Facts:

  • Responsible for managing nationally distributed applications and hardware support team members

  • Responsible for results, including costs, methods, and staffing. Interacts with others at various levels involving matters between functional areas, other departments or org units, or customers and the company.

  • Receives assignments/objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals, delegating assignments when necessary. Involved in developing, modifying, and executing policies and/or procedures that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effects. Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors. Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

  • Develops tactical implementation plans and monitors implementation execution.

  • Provides continuous coaching, training, and counseling to direct reports.

  • Determines and communicates central implementation support resources planning; develops processes and tools to deliver effective and efficient system implementations for Roche Products Assists in identifying skills readiness within assigned teams to support implemented products. Responsible for customer satisfaction.

  • Monitors results to include instrument installations, implementations, evaluations, and manpower utilization goals.

  • Demonstrates understanding of and incorporates Roche’s policies, procedures, and training regarding quality, ethics, and compliance.

  • Selects, trains, & provides on-going coaching & performance mgmt. to productivity & career development; oversees & directs all HR-related issues.

  • Effectively engages and empowers Lead positions to drive implementation performance.

  • Maintains fiscal responsibility & manages team expense budget per guidelines

  • Responsibilities include activities such as instrument installation, implementation, evaluation effectiveness and efficiency; product conversion activities; customer proficiency; and product and application training.

  • Manages departmental expense budgets. Provides departmental activity reports as directed by their Leader. Assist their leader in departmental reviews. Participates in overall business process improvement initiatives, including the development of customer playbook activities across all business units.

  • Travel required: Up to 60%
     

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, Chemistry, Biology or Clinical Laboratory, or equivalent education and work

  • 1-3 years of experience in the clinical laboratory, health environment, or diagnostics industry

  • 1-3 years of previous management or supervisory experience, or demonstrated leadership skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to learn Roche product lines, equipment, products, and/or systems

  • Effective written/verbal communication skills

  • Effective customer service skills, which include a pos
