Overview & Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Management of accounting, financial analysis and reporting ensuring accuracy under IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)

BACKGROUND and EXPERIENCE

  • B.S. in Accounting or Business Administration

  • Requires 7 to 10 years of experience in Accounting, plus a good working knowledge of related finance activities

  • CPA or equivalent preferred

  • Must have strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

  • Communication skills, verbal and written, are essential for effective receipt and interpretation of financial data

  • Requires a basic knowledge of computer systems as related to Oracle and FCCS

NATURE OF THE JOB

  • Analyzes and interprets financial data for various levels of management

  • Directs quarterly reporting to parent company

  • Supervises transactional data and the accumulation of financial data in accordance with established guidelines

  • Implements corporate financial policies and procedures as they relate to areas of responsibility

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/COMPETENCIES

  • Manage the quarterly reporting submission process, and the Annual Financial Statements process

  • Perform monthly and quarterly analytical analysis for management decision making, internal review, reporting and auditor requests

  • Fulfil requests of the external auditors and internal auditors in a manner which allows them to complete their duties on a timely basis

  • In respective areas, supervises the monthly and quarterly balance sheet review, ensuring detailed data is reconciled to the general ledger and all items are currently identified and required

  • Ensure that the results are reflected in the local systems, Consolidation system, and reporting systems charts of accounts

  • Review monthly journal entries for sign-off for audit / JSOX compliance

  • Maintain Compliance with internal control policy & practice

  • Analyzes financial transactions, interpreting significant deviations from planned activity for Elliott management

  • Identify and facilitate process improvement within the Finance department

  • Perform any other ad hoc or special duties, projects or analyses as directed by the company
