Job Summary:
Pratt & Whitney Military Engines is seeking a Program Manager to join the F135 Modernization Program Management Office in the execution of the F135 Engine Core Upgrade (ECU) Program. The Program Manager will be a key focal point in the day-to-day execution of the ECU program as it relates to company funded Independent Research and Development (IR&D) tasks and contract funded scope. The F135 ECU will improve upon the already stellar performance of the F135 engine to secure its place for future growth of the F-35 aircraft. The ECU program is a fast paced, dynamic environment and the correct candidate must be able to adapt on the fly and lead appropriately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate and Coordinate program deliverables
- Monitor established schedules and follow through on timely execution to meet deadlines and commitments – hardware for engine test, design reviews
- Develop and give presentations and communications
- Support Quarterly Technical Reviews and Program Meetings
- Proposal Support
- Risk Management and budgeting of both government and company funded tasks
Basic Qualifications:
- BS degree in Engineering or Business
- A minimum of 8 years of military program management, operations or engineering experience required.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS degree in Engineering, Business, or other related field with 5+ years of military program management, operations, or engineering experience
- Teaming and leadership ability
- Experience in risk management processes
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail, develop and present material to cross-functional teams
- Technical knowledge and background in development, sustainment, and/or maintenance of military engine and/or power and thermal management systems is a plus
- Understanding of the F-35 vehicle system architecture or other recent military aircraft also a plus

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
