POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a full-time position in the Network & Information Security Section. This position is located on-site in Tallahassee and offers no remote work capability.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties include:
- Providing support for all FDLE security tools to include end point detection and response (EDR), automatic and passive asset management tools, multi-factor authentication, disk encryption, O365 applications and external facing threat profiling tools to various groups within FDLE;
- Maintaining efficiency in data processing technical work;
- Planning, implementing, and performance of vulnerability scanning across all FDLE ITS managed networks;
- Providing SIEM alert research, tuning and monitoring;
- Validating security system design, support, and performance monitoring;
- Conducting software vulnerability remediation on enter user machines;
- Researching and developing computer network and information system security technologies to support the planning and enhancement of the statewide distributed computer systems networks including hardware, software, and communications resources;
- Assisting other members of the Network and Information Security team in formulating agency-wide security policies to meet legislative requirements; and
- Serving as a member of the Computer Security Incident and response team.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of operating systems and/or telecommunications concepts;
- Knowledge and experience with information security tools, services, and systems used to support an information security program within an organization;
- Knowledge and experience in incident response, vulnerability threat assessment and mitigation;
- Knowledge of operating systems as they relate to computer security and auditing;
- Knowledge of networking protocols and network security methodologies;
- Knowledge of Information Security concepts and best practices;
- Ability to develop, test and evaluate security controls; and
- Knowledge of O365 applications.
