Job Description

Summary: Routine Maintenance on Fleet equipment including preventative and breakdown repairs. Willing to grasp, grip, twist, pull bend and stoop for 12-hour shifts. Tech will be walking, standing, bending, pushing, pulling Up to 75lbs in all types of weather.

Tasks:

Change tires. Perform preventative maintenance service work and vehicle inspections. Perform some light mechanical repairs as needed. Maintain clean work area. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must have required tools; Entry level set, Standard Wrench set (1/4"-1 1/4'), Metric Wrench set (8mm-22mm), Standard 1/4 drive socket and ratchet set (1/4"-1/2"), Standard 3/8 drive socket and ratchet set (3/8-15/16), Standard 1/2 drive socket and ratchet set (1/2-1 1/4), Metric 1/4 drive socket and ratchet set (8mm-13mm), Metric 3/8 drive socket and ratchet set (10mm-19mm), Metric1/2 drive socket and ratchet set (13mm-24mm), Complete set of Phillips and standard screwdrivers up to #3 on both, Set of pry bars sith at least a 20-inch bar, 12-volt test light, we supply a shop Volt/Ohm meter. Small and large pliers, needle nose, wire crimping pliers and vise grip pliers. 3/8 air ratchet, 1/2 air impact. We supply the larger tools needed, the 3/4 drive and 1" drive, axle sockets, and special tools for individual engines and units.

Must have a valid driver’s license.

Experience in heavy-duty truck repair and service helpful. Must be able to communicate with truck drivers. Basic math skills. Previous mechanic experience is required. Must be able to perform the essential job functions

Requirement: Twelve months of continuous employment with a single employer within the last 36 months of employment or completion and verifiable formal schooling in a specific trade.

Must have extensive fabrication and mechanical experience. Welding, boiler, and electrical experience preferred.

Must have a valid driver’s license. Experience in heavy-duty truck repair and service helpful. Must be able to communicate with truck drivers. Basic math skills. Previous mechanic experience is required. Must be able to perform the essential job functions
