About the Role

As the Client Manager for Life & Health in the Nordic region, you will be the primary interface between Swiss Re and its reinsurance clients across the Nordic region. This strategic role is pivotal in strengthening Swiss Re’s market presence and delivering client-centric solutions. The role is based in Munich and reports to the Head Client Management Germany and Nordics.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Your serve as the key point of contact for Swiss Re’s L&H clients in the Nordics/ in Germany, ensuring seamless communication and service delivery.

• You build and nurture long-term client relationships, positioning Swiss Re as the preferred reinsurance partner in the region.

• You develop and execute growth strategies for both existing and prospective clients, driving business expansion and innovation.

• You own and manage client accounts, with full responsibility for financial performance across in-force portfolios and new business opportunities.

• You lead cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions and support complex client engagements.

• You represent Swiss Re at client meetings, industry events, conferences, and professional bodies, acting as a brand ambassador.

The team is highly diverse, comprising different functions relevant to serving our clients, including Client Management, Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims and Medical. About You

 

You're a thoughtful professional who appreciates the nuances of the international Life & Health insurance or reinsurance landscape.

You enjoy building lasting partnerships based on mutual understanding, and find fulfillment in creating solutions that respect both client needs and business objectives.

 

We are looking for candidates who bring these qualities:

 

• Experience of around 3+ years in the Life & Health insurance or reinsurance field, a plus to have exposure to German and/or Nordic markets.

• Thoughtful analytical abilities that help you understand market patterns, recognize emerging trends.

• Experience in bringing together diverse teams and perspectives, with sensitivity to different working styles and approaches.

• Full proficiency in English and German (Nordic languages a plus)

 

These qualities would also be welcome:

• Educational background in mathematics, business administration, or related fields, with actuarial knowledge being appreciated but not essential.

 

For Germany, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 71,000 and EUR 119,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers: ​

• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,​

• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.​

In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.​
