Changeover, set-up, and trouble-shoot machines in the Cannula Department.  Support the activities of the department to meet objectives.  Assist QC Manufacturing Representative and /or QC Technician in performing machine and process capability studies, etc.  Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures.  Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Job Position Title: Grind Setup

Function: Operations

Location: Columbus West

Job Group/Grade: JG2

Schedule: 1st shift - 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM CT

PCP Level: 3
 

Duties/Responsibilities:     

• Maintain equipment operation, monitoring and performance of grinding systems.

• Know processes and QC Specifications.

• Make process equipment adjustments, repairs and service as required so that continuous work patterns and operations are maintained.

• Clean up as required.

• Maintain equipment performance and accurate TPM & PM records.

• Change over, setup and trouble-shoot all machines in Cannula.

• Perform preventative maintenance & TPM's as assigned.

• Use macro scope, microscope, calipers, laser rotation, or other test equipment to perform QC requirements

• Other duties as required to support the needs of the business

Education:

• High School diploma/GED required

Experience:          

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to read, write, and converse in English.

• Work effectively on own, or in a team atmosphere – Proficient

• Willingness and ability to train others - Proficient

• Teamwork – Proficient

• Organization skills, detailed oriented – Basic
