Overview
Precision Grinder – Full-Time Position
Location: Oakley Street Poughkeepsie NY
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Compensation: $20 an hour
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined Precision Grinder to join our team specializing in precision measurement equipment. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with grinding tolerances as tight as ±.0001”, alongside some of the most accomplished professionals in the field.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Willingness to learn and grow in a technical role
- Entry-level grinding experience
Responsibilities
- Operate manual and production grinding machines
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Apply basic math skills to measure and verify tolerances
- Perform precision grinding and maintain strict quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Safely lift components up to 45lbs
Requirements
- Own transportation
- experience reading blueprints
- Basic math proficiency
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with grinding tools
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
