Program program and increased activity require a Federal Financial Functional Generalist, extremely well-versed in Federal Financial flows and processes addition to our team.
 
What is the position? 
Provide and present solutions to that effect, and to render consultation and advise on reporting and operational status, and recommendations for improvement. 
 
What will I get to do?  
Federal Financial Functional Generalist responsibilities will include, among other functions, helping our Client better understand the flow and configuration of their newly-integrated Federal Financial Enterprise software system, and to ascertain areas where improvements in performance, efficiencies, and effectiveness can be achieved. This individual will work closely with our Client to identify financial requirements not addressed in the initial implementation, and translate them into additional needs for their SAP Federal Financials system. Regular collaboration with our Program and Project managers on financial and reporting status, issues, solutions, and consultative activities is a given.  
 
What qualifications do I need? 

  • At least 6 years of federal financial experience
  • Ability to plan, run, and manage workshops/meetings with clients
  • Possesses exceptional Federal financial knowledge, skills, and capabilities
  • Practical experience in managing customers, financial and reporting deliveries and/or project management
  • Ability to work under pressure, in critical situations and under tight deadlines
  • Ability to drill down into functional issues and solve complex and detailed problems 
  • Ability to deliver clear, concise presentations and present complex information in a professional and precise manner; detail orientated
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; superior troubleshooter
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into solutions
  • Must be acutely familiar with the Federal Budgeting process and flow
  • Can effectively analyze organizational needs, pinpoint primary objectives or challenges
  • Must possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to multitask effectively
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and sound SAP functional knowledge
  • Ability to provide knowledgeable input on resource requirements
  • Must have a wide breadth of Federal Financial functional experience
  • Excellent organizational and time management and Client service skills
  • Must be familiar with paraprofessional accounting and fiscal control functions, such as accounts payable and receivable, procurement, Federal travel submittals, payroll, budget monitoring or related general accounting processes.
  • Ability to provide relevant and concise data quickly to decision-makers, to facilitate timely decisions and actions
  • Must be extremely familiar with the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB)
  • Can apply and ascertain GAAP guidelines
  • Experience assisting Client with Federal Audit preparation
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, economics, computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, computer information science, information technology, or a related field
  • US Citizenship

 
What additional characteristics will help me thrive?

  • Experience delivering to DHS or other Federal agencies
