About the role

ROLE SUMMARY

This 6-9 month secondment is part of Executive Operations & Corporate Communications (EOCC). It will specifically support the Executive Operations team which is responsible for management of CEO and ELT operations. This includes but is not limited to planning CEO participation in Enterprise engagements (Pfizer Live, Blueprint Leaders, Op Plans, etc.), Board of Directors meetings, external engagements, earnings and investor meetings. It involved preparing briefings, logistical planning, trip coordination and general operations.

WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE

This secondment role will work under the Sr. Director of Executive Operations, Stephen Fascianella, to help execute the above-mentioned areas. In this secondment, the individual will be expected to have a general understanding of Pfizer’s business and operating structure, as they will partner with colleagues cross-functionally to accomplish team goals. This secondment operates across the most senior levels of the organization and will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day operations of the office and project managing key initiatives, as assigned. This secondment requires a motivated, self-starter with strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, pay strong attention to detail, collaborate across the enterprise and identify and execute opportunities for continuous improvement.

HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT

  • Support elements of logistical planning for CEO participation in internal and external engagements.

  • Coordinate with teams internal and external teams to organize business trips, meetings, speaking engagements, and site visits, ensuring well prepared CEO briefings.

  • Work with Corporate Communications to align on messaging for internal and external engagements to ensure they reflect CEO vision and enterprise priorities.

  • Liaise with leaders and colleagues across the organization to obtain information needed for the CEO.

  • Partner with ELT Chiefs-of-Staff to ensure timely resolution of deliverables on behalf of the CEO’s office.

  • Partner with PX on enterprise-wide initiatives such as Pfizer Live broadcasts, Blueprint Leader meetings, etc.

  • Support preparation for Pfizer Board meetings, including coordination across ELT offices to prepare materials while collaborating closely with Corporate Governance.

  • Support EOCC cultural initiatives and other ad hoc projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must-Have

  • BA/BS with 8+ years of experience.

  • Experienced in communicating and interacting with senior executives.

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organization to achieve meaningful outcomes.

  • Ability to assess information and apply judgement to draw conclusions.

  • Broad understanding of Pfizer’s businesses.

  • Strategic thinker with superior execution capabilities.

  • High degree of emotional intelligence, change agility and use of sound judgment in ambiguous situations.

  • Excellent interpersonal/influencing skills and ability to build relationships and leverage resources within the function and across the organization.

  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work across different cultures and with a variety of leaders from different backgrounds and experiences.

Nice-to-Have

  • MBA/MS with 7+ years of experience; OR PhD or JD with 5+ years of experience.

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
