Job Summary:
The Director of Business Operations for Immigrant Youth Services is responsible for supervising the Business Manager and Business Coordinators and overseeing all facets of internal and external business relationships, program fiscal compliance, and operations for programs in the Division. This role collaborates with all stakeholders to address business requirements and facilitates the program's effective interaction with both Morrison departments and external constituents.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership:
- Oversees the business operations of programs in the Immigrant Youth Services Division ensuring they operate efficiently and comply with all ORR policies and Joint Commission requirements
- Manages the grant application process for ORR, as well as any new funding projects.
- Works collaboratively with Program Leadership to provide fiscal management, oversight, and compliance with all State and Federal regulatory requirements
- Works with ORR Project Officer and ORR Grants Officer on fiscal and programmatic reporting
- Provides guidance and oversight of critical incident reporting.
- Ensures that contractors are supported, and contracts are developed, monitored, and maintained.
- Coordinates with the Morrison Facilities department, landlords, and program staff to ensure program locations operate safely and efficiently
- Serves as the administrator for ORR’s Electronic Health Records (UAC Portal / PATH).
- Assists with special projects within the ORR program and serves as a representative for the Division in agency-wide discussions.
- Provides leadership, guidance and demonstrates a commitment to learning and implementing the Sanctuary Model
- Continuously evaluates program effectiveness and makes improvements based on feedback and outcomes.
- Completes other duties as assigned to ensure successful operation of program/department.
- Budget Management & Resource Allocation:
- Partners with the Accounting team to create and manage grant budgets, including line-item Excel calculations and detailed narrative documents
- Manages resources within budgets to ensure that the program provides necessary services without interruption through the reasonable use of public funds
- Provides training, information, and support to Division staff regarding the appropriate use of federal funds through agency procurement processes
- Periodically reviews program workflows and operations through the lens of Federal fiscal compliance to ensure the agency is following all requirements
