Sr. Financial Analyst - Hybrid, Aliso Viejo, CA (3x a week in office)

COMPENSATION: $110,000-$120,000 per year. You are eligible to a Short-Term Incentive Plan with the target at 7.5% of your annual earnings, terms and conditions apply.

Sr. Financial Analyst - Hybrid, Aliso Viejo, CA (3x a week in office)

The Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial and non-financial information, providing reports to management to support business decisions, and assisting with month-end close.  The Sr. Financial Analyst will provide detailed variance analysis that supports the accuracy of the general ledger.  In addition, the Sr. Financial Analyst will be heavily involved with forecasting and budgeting.  This role will act as a translator of financial information for the management team.

Essential Functions

• Partner with business leaders from several departments to develop department-level spending plans
• Analyze actual vs. forecast performance, with an emphasis on understanding and communicating variance drivers
• Clearly and concisely communicate expected financial results and the activities underlying those results
• Perform financial forecasting and operational KPI’s for Senior Leadership Team
• Perform month-end close procedures (e.g., submitting accruals for assigned departments, assisting with revenue close and reconciliation)
• Create and present monthly reporting package to business partners, including P&L variances
• Drive continuous improvement of existing processes
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling
• Strong data analytics – experience working with large datasets
• Critical thinker – able to take large data sets and interpret the meaning of them to management
• Strong communicator – able to work effectively cross-functionally and at all levels within organization
• Strong knowledge of operational financial management processes, including forecasting/budgeting, cost allocations, capital expenditures, and OPEX
• Able to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team
• Progressive growth in career
• Business partnering experience
