Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital is a fully integrated, state-of-the-art medical campus that includes diagnostic centers, outpatient surgery and a 24-hour emergency department. Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital is part of the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, a nonprofit, multispecialty, academic medical center that integrates clinical and hospital care with research and education.
Martin North Hospital’s Med/Surg and Telemetry Unit provides comprehensive care for patients with various medical and surgical conditions who require continuous cardiac monitoring. Many of the patients on this unit are gastro-focused. As an RN on this team, you will work with fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed. Here, you will be able to expand your nursing skills and potentially grow into other nursing and leadership roles down the line.
A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00AM – 7:30PM, including every other weekend.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide direct nursing care.
Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocol.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
Educate patients and their families, considering cultural issues and other special concerns.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
