Business Operations Director

We are seeking a Business Operations Director to lead and oversee the execution of key operational initiatives across our growing network of dental practices in the Metro NYC area. This is a senior-level role ideal for a strategic and hands-on leader with strong project management expertise, operational acumen, and a passion for building scalable systems that drive performance.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring seamless day-to-day operations while also managing high-impact projects that improve business efficiency, patient experience, and team productivity.

💰 Salary Range: up to $90,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

What You’ll Be Doing:

✔ Oversee business operations across multiple practices, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational excellence standards.
✔ Lead cross-functional projects from planning through execution—ranging from technology rollouts to workflow improvements and space planning.
✔ Partner with executive leadership to identify operational gaps, define strategic priorities, and implement scalable solutions.
✔ Track and report KPIs to monitor progress, measure impact, and guide business decisions.
✔ Streamline communication and workflow between departments including finance, HR, billing, clinical operations, and front office teams.
✔ Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs that promote consistency, accountability, and efficiency.
✔ Support onboarding and training initiatives to reinforce company culture and operational standards.
✔ Manage vendor relationships and oversee facility improvements and logistics as needed.
✔ Drive continuous improvement across all business functions, from patient-facing experiences to back-office workflows.

✔ Analyze operational data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for performance improvement across departments and locations.

✔ Develop dashboards and reporting tools to track KPIs, resource utilization, and business metrics in real time.
✔ Coordinate with cross-functional teams to collect and validate data required for business case development and ROI analyses.

What We’re Looking For:

✔ 5+ years of experience in business operations, healthcare management, or multi-site leadership.
✔ Proven success in leading cross-functional projects with measurable outcomes.
✔ Strong background in workflow optimization, SOP development, and team enablement.
✔ Experience working in or with healthcare, dental, or multi-location service organizations is preferred.
✔ Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
✔ Proficient in tools such as Google Workspace, Asana, Slack, and practice management platforms (e.g., Dentrix Ascend or similar).
✔ Clear, concise communication style with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
✔ Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable navigating change with a solution-first mindset.
