Summary
Anaconda is seeking a talented Sr. Software Engineer, Backend to join our rapidly-growing team. This role is central to our efforts in unifying on-prem and server policy engines, developing robust APIs, and working closely with front-end engineers to enhance our platform. You will be deeply involved in the end-to-end development process, from architecture and design to implementation and deployment.
What You’ll Do:
Be a key member of the Package Security Manager team: You'll be at the forefront of ensuring our platform remains secure and efficient, working on developing and maintaining the Package Security Manager on the cloud.
Attend and contribute to daily scrum meetings: You'll actively participate in planning sessions, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring that the team’s goals are met efficiently.
Build, test, and release: You'll take ownership of the full lifecycle of the Package Security Manager, ensuring that it’s built, tested, and released to meet the highest standards.
Collaborate with external teams: You’ll work closely with other teams to coordinate joint deliverables, ensuring seamless integration and delivery.
Ensure quality: By working closely with QA, you’ll help deliver a high-quality product that meets all necessary standards.
Review PRs: You’ll be responsible for code reviews, contributing to engineering and product discussions, and driving improvements in code quality and team productivity.
Implement new processes: You'll create and implement processes that enhance product quality, security, and performance, taking ownership of inefficiencies and driving cross-team initiatives.
Knowledge sharing: You'll present areas of interest within the organization through lunch-and-learn or team learning events, contributing to the team’s continuous learning culture.
What You Need:
8+ years of software development experience.
Deep and proven experience and fluency with Python.
Experience in FastAPI (or Django) to build efficient, maintainable, and scalable web applications.
Advanced knowledge of the Python ecosystem, including best practices.
Experience with application monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki.
Experience with AWS or similar cloud providers.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Frontend, and UX teams.
A team-oriented attitude, embodying the mindset of “I am not done until WE are done.”
