SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying safety and occupational health laws, regulations, principles, theories, practices, and procedures to manage an installation's safety program; 2) Training personnel in a variety of safety and occupational health areas (i.e. fall protection, respiratory protection, ionizing radiation, non-ionizing radiation, gas-free radiation and/or hazard communications) to promote workplace safety; 3) Inspecting workplaces, processes, products, or other systems for compliance with established safety and occupational health policies; 4) Identifying a variety of environmental risks encountered in various types of shops to eliminate/control hazardous operations or conditions; 5) Serving as integrator and coordinator for all assigned safety related programs and activities that are of common interest to the installation and multiple tenant commands or organizations.
