About the role

The Sr. Management Accountant prepares standard reports to support UK IFRS reporting and Parent GAAP reporting requirements. This role will support the preparation of the GAAP consolidated reporting for National Grid USA and its holding company, coordination of UK IFRS reporting, and related analytics.
 

What you'll do

· Leads internal and external reporting activities by performing Parent GAAP reporting.

· Support UK group by coordinating and preparing US IFRS support.

· Preparation of Analytics to support financial statements.

· Maintains financial records for compliance with policies and procedures.

· Responsible for meeting financial filings and reporting deadlines.

· Responsible for supporting financial and non-financial controls to meet business requirements.

 

What you'll need

· Financial Reporting

· Accuracy and accessibility of financial records

· Technical Accounting

· General Accounting

· US GAAP, SOX

· Effective business partnerships

· Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting roles with increasing responsibility

· Experience working with financial statement audit or preparation preferred

· Experience managing competing priorities while maintaining compliance and meeting deadlines

· Excellent written/oral communication skills

· Knowledge of SAP platforms, BI and Wdesk preferred

· Experience preparing analytics

· Able to assess accounting issues and recommend solution

Annual Salary

DNY:  $99,000-$116,000

MA:  $92,000-$108,000

UNY:  $82,000-$96,000

 

Salary commensurate with experience and location.

 

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
