JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Department of Mechanical Engineering is seeking a highly motivated student to assist with department facilities and general operation of the new ME Knowledge Lab under the direct supervision of ME's Facilities Manager. This position does NOT work in a PI's Lab.
Job Duties:
- Assisting staff in organizing various new and refurbishment construction projects
- Organizing and staffing the Knowledge Lab instrument room
- Managing incoming mail and special shipments across various buildings
- Monitoring 3D printers
- Assisting students and faculty in gathering classroom and project materials
- Assisting in the assignment and return of building keys
- Conducting inventory counts and monitoring the inventory management system
- Providing general support to students, faculty and staff as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must be an undergraduate student or recent graduate of the Mechanical Engineering Program at Penn State University, or have equivalent education and experience
