Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team in the Memory Care Unit. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through engaging activities and support. The ideal candidate will be available to work Saturday evenings and will play a key role in fostering a positive and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in planning and implementing recreational and therapeutic activities for residents.

- Engage residents in activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.

- Support residents in participating in group and individual activities.

- Collaborate with the care team to ensure activities are tailored to residents' needs and preferences.

- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all residents.

- Document participation and feedback from residents regarding activities.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a healthcare or recreational setting, preferably with memory care or elderly populations.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Compassionate and patient demeanor.

- Flexibility to work Saturday evenings and other shifts as needed.

- Basic understanding of the needs of individuals with memory impairments is a plus.
