As the Senior Director of Business Performance, you will work closely with cross-functional teams and play a critical role in optimizing our operational efficiency, financial planning, and strategic decision-making processes. You will contribute to our mission of reshaping the future of space exploration.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead business process optimization efforts, identifying and evaluating operational inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and reduce costs while fostering a cohesive and high-performing organizational culture.
  • Implement best practices and tools to optimize business operations, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
  • Work closely with the finance team to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization and resource utilization.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to improve financial performance and support informed decision-making.
  • Foster effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including executives and department heads.
  • Present performance reports, analysis, and recommendations to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Anticipate and address challenges related to scaling the business, developing strategies to overcome them.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous learning, growth, and innovation within the business performance team.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.

What you need to know:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Proven track record of at least 10 years in progressively responsible roles related to business performance, strategic planning, or operations management
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business performance and deliver results in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex ideas and strategies to diverse audiences
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams

Nice to have but not required:

  • Experience in the aerospace industry or high-tech startups is highly desirable
