The Role

As a Senior ServiceNow CMDB Architect  you'll be responsible for designing cutting-edge software frameworks, systems, and products that will set the standard for the industry. You'll use your extensive technical knowledge to conceive system interfaces and business application prototypes, while also identifying and resolving any framework design weaknesses.

• Design data models for CMDB including design of entity relationships, data flows and conceptual and logical data models, data dictionaries.

• Report and analtize, particularly with respect to CMDB quality and process compliance.

• Utilize knowledge in ServiceNow CMDB back-end database, Snow Mirror database configuration, and Snow Mirror data replication.

• Build data models for ServiceNow CMDB Data Model.

• Migrate ServiceNow CMDB data to external database.

• Map ServiceNow Application fields to back-end databases.

• Write page long complex SQL/Snowflake queries to join 20+ tables from CMDB/Snow Mirror database to create denormalized layer for reporting.

• Data model Analytical and Reporting Layer for BI and big data environments.

You’ll use your technical expertise to provide technical leadership to the application development team, perform design and code reviews, and ensure that uniform enterprise-wide application design standards are maintained. You'll also collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure that the architecture is aligned with business requirements, making sure that the project meets its goals.

Your expertise in designing major aspects of the architecture of an application, including components such as user interface, middleware, and infrastructure, will be put to use as you create and maintain documentation surrounding the software architecture, application design processes, component integration, testing guidelines, and other key elements.

Who You Are

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years ServiceNow CMDB experience.

• Knowledge of industry best practices and trends for CMDB and configuration management.

• Understanding of ServiceNow CMDB backend database Schema.

• Understanding of the relationships in ServiceNow CMDB database.

• Strong experience in building Snow Mirror database and building reports from it.

• Strong data modelling experience.

• Experience in migrating ServiceNow CMDB data to database.

• Experience in querying and analyzing ServiceNow CMDB back end.

• Strong SQL experience.

• Reporting knowledge.

• CMDB data cleaning and Operational knowledge.

• Understanding of how CMDB is customized in an organization.

• Should be well versed working in Agile methodology.

• Good communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• ER Diagram and data model validation

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $134,160to$254,880based on a full-time schedule.  Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience.  For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.

There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations: 

California: $147,600 to $305,880 

Colorado: $134,160 to $254,880 

New York City: $161,040 to $305,880 

Washington: $147,600 to $28
