The Rockport Maintenance Office is responsible for maintaining the state’s highway and roadway systems throughout Aransas County and parts of surrounding areas. Our team plays a critical role in ensuring safe and reliable travel for the public. We’re currently seeking a General Transportation Technician— the backbone of TxDOT. In this role, you’ll be hands-on with:
Roadway and sign maintenance
Debris removal
Heavy equipment operation
Emergency response and storm clean-up
Routine inspections and repairs
