We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to support the Community Rating System (CRS) within our team. The CRS is a program within the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) that incentivizes communities to take proactive measures to reduce flood risk.
In this role, you will work with data from the CRS program, analyzing performance metrics and providing insights that help enhance the program’s effectiveness. A key responsibility will be to create impactful data visualizations using Business Intelligence (BI) tools, transforming CRS data into clear, engaging insights that are easily accessible to stakeholders. Your experience with design principles, including advance skills with Tableau (such as Tableau Visionary status), will be essential in creating intuitive and visually appealing dashboards and reports.
In addition to data analysis and visualization work, experience with document management systems is a plus, as this role also involves ensuring proper organization, compliance, and access to essential documents related to CRS operations.

- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence
- Highly skilled in Tableau, Power BI, Excel, and SQL
- Strong skills in the design and visualization of data, particularly with advanced Tableau capabilities and other BI tools, to create intuitive, user-friendly dashboards and reports
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, communication, and teamwork
- Experience working on federal programs, particularly those related to flood risk and mitigation programs like CRS
- The candidate must be able to successfully pass a federal security screening as a condition of employment
- Experience with document management systems a plus, but not required
