Position Summary:

The main responsibility of this role is to ensure the accuracy and compliance of our collections processes. In this position you must possess exceptional analytical skills, a strong attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of collection practices and regulations.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular audits on collections activities to assess management with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of collection records, documentation, and reports.
  • Assist management with Identifying areas of improvement in collections processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide suggestions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in collection practices.
  • Meet monthly goals and objectives.
  • Monitor phone calls to ensure compliance with company policies governing collection of debts and applicable federal/regulatory guidelines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines and timelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Using Microsoft Office tools to create, update, and maintain documents critical to Quality Control.
  • This position involves regular access to specified personal information of consumers, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers and dates of birth.
  • Other duties maybe assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies:

Experience

  • At least two (2) years collections or auditing experience required
  • Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines and timelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to enter data accurately into spread sheets and prepare professional looking documents and reports.
  • Knowledge of collections processes, regulations, and best practices
  • Strong understanding of fair debt collection practices and consumer protection laws
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Education – requirements and/or certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
