Winnebago Industries is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to join our team based in Eden Prairie, MN. This role is hybrid. The Senior Payroll Analyst will oversee the preparation and processing of weekly payroll for multiple business units.  The Sr. Payroll Analyst will be responsible for understanding regulations and best practices and working with business partners to apply those practices in the cross-functional payroll effort.  This role will also be responsible for payroll accuracy and root cause identification and solutioning of issues.  

Day to Day of the Role: 

  • Work with HR Business Partners, Benefits, Compensation and other functional teams to ensure accurate and timely inputs to the payroll process
  • Identify root cause issues to payroll corrections and create action plans to improve process moving forward
  • Participate in projects as payroll lead as needed
  • Identify and escalate compliance and tax issues to Payroll Manager and HR leadership
  • Serve as escalation point of contact for employees in matters of time, attendance, and payroll inquiries
  • Validate payroll tax filings, work with various tax jurisdictions to ensure access to Winnebago tax accounts
  • Assist HR with validating weekly benefits withholdings (401K)
  • Complete wage verifications and employment verifications as requested
  • Partner with departments and managers to provide required and ad hoc reporting needs (direct labor hours – Cost Accounting, WT1 hours – Safety, headcount data, etc.)
  • Prepare various month-end journal entries, payroll month-end account reconciliations and other recurring reports as needed
  • Train to be fully cross-functional with the Payroll Manager; serve as backup to Payroll Manager as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

 Education & Experience

  • 3-5 years of Payroll experience required
  • Associate Degree in Business Administration/Finance or Accounting Degree preferred
  • Experience working with Workday and ADP WFN strongly preferred
