TechStyleOS is currently looking for a Product Development & Sourcing Manager – New Initiative.


How do you fit in? 

As the PDS Manager, you will be responsible for the full product life cycle, from developing styles from concept through execution in production. You will collaborate closely with the design, merchandising, logistics, and quality assurance teams to bring new activewear and athleisure collections to life while optimizing production processes for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Key functions include cost engineering, trim development, buy placement, purchase order tracking, and monitoring quality to ensure product is produced on time and according to our standards for vendor compliance. The ideal candidate is a resourceful problem-solver who can collaborate well and build processes as we scale the business.


This position will report to the General Manager, Europe.
 

What You Will Do:

  • Cost engineer garments and negotiate with vendors to achieve target IMU’s

  • Develop trims to meet functional and aesthetic design requirements; maintain seasonal trims libraries physically and in PLM

  • Use PLM to create and send tech packs to factories for costing and development.

  • Create and maintain a seasonal cost chart

  • Request and track prototypes in the correct construction and color for key design meetings

  • Request and track wear test samples for new styles

  • Send monthly buys to vendors -- resending as needed to capture changes and late adds

  • Manage daily communication with vendors to ensure they have everything needed to proceed to production, bubbling up issues along with suggested solutions to the Director of Production. 

  • Understand transit times and lead times for each shipping lane to plan XFDs and negotiate on-time deliveries.

  • Purchase Order (PO) Management/Tracking – oversee PO creation with an off-shore team, ensuring POs are accurate and reflect all changes.

  • Send vendor PO recaps to verify receipt of accurate POs

  • Report shortages/overages exceeding 5% to Merchandising and Planning, adjusting POs accordingly.

  • Execute style changes with vendors, ensuring that impacts on delivery and cost are communicated to internal stakeholders.

  • Ensure that all products meet our quality standards by conducting development testing and reviewing QA inspection reports as well as garment test reports before goods ship. 

  • Review vendor compliance chargebacks for late bookings, handovers

What You Can Bring:

  • 8+ years of production experience in fashion or apparel manufacturing; active or athleisure a plus

  • 3+ years of experience working in PLM and purchase order creation systems

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, apparel manufacturing, or product development

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to be both strategic and hands on

  • Comfortable with unfamiliarity and the ability to see what's possible

  • Experience in apparel manufacturing is strongly preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

  • High proficiency in MS Excel, with the ability to use lookup functions and create pivot tables

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, prioritizing as needed to meet deadlines

  • Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of collaboration

  • Experience with both domestic and overseas vendors is preferred

  • Fluent in English (minimum C1), Spanish a plus
