Sr Data Scientist, Conversational AI

Position Summary

Conversational AI is a collection of internally developed, advanced solutions designed to equip our call centers with the necessary tools and insights to enhance member experience and improve call center efficiency. This is a product-based team focused on delivering solutions that meet stakeholder requirements. You will collaborate with the broader A&BC data science and engineering teams to architect and execute the solutions. 

• Leads developing and maintaining the core code base for our Conversation AI suite of products 

• Responsibility for particular use-case features that enhance the main functionalities 

• Evaluate the solution impact on technical and business metrics 

• Major focus will include development of advance AI solutions, including data curation and prompt engineering 

• Building trust with business partners and other data science teams to consult on the use of the products 

Required Qualifications​

• Strong Python and SQL skills 

• Expertise in advanced analytics tools and languages to analyze large data sets from multiple data sources  

• Expertise in innovating and implementing novel machine learning techniques  

• 3+ years of experience with natural language processing - classification (sequence/token), information retrieval (dense/sparse search), and regex 

• 3+ years of experience building and evaluating data products with LLMs, prompt engineering, and language models 

Preferred Qualifications

• Superior ability to communicate technical ideas and results to non-technical clients in written and verbal form   

• Experience working on product operating model  

• Experience in documenting code effectively and proficient use of GitHub 

• Familiarity navigating GCP, including tools like BigQuery, BigTable, and Dataproc 

• Comprehensive knowledge of the health care industry, products, systems, business strategies and products 

Education

M.Sc. or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$111,240.00 - $222,480.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
