Data Engineer (Permanent, Remote US)

Aledade is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to play a key role in designing and creating new data assets, models, and pipelines that are used to drive and monitor the success of our business and the primary care physicians we support. At Aledade, we help save lives by providing data and technology that improves the ability of primary care physicians to keep their patients healthy. Our Data Engineering team works with our Business Intelligence and Impact Analytics teams to create and improve data products that power insight both internally and externally, leveraging one of the largest and most comprehensive physician practice datastores available today.
In this role, you will be part of Aledade’s US-based, fully-remote product engineering team.

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Contribute to an optimal data pipeline architecture and infrastructure (SQL, Python, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, AWS)
• Work with internal reporting and analytics teams to understand requirements, helping to craft innovative solutions that support greater insight and improve downstream business processes
• Help identify effective approaches to integrating and processing input from a variety of disparate data sources
• Facilitate analytical insights through the production of polished datasets for analytic and dashboard consumption
• Work alongside other engineering teams to help improve the quality, maturity, and consistency of our internal and external data products
• Help establish data governance policies and procedures

Requirements:

• 3+ years of relational database experience, including the ability to author and navigate highly-complex SQL queries
• 3+ years of experience working with Snowflake or other cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, etc.)
• Working knowledge of a variety of databases (ideally both relational and non-relational)
• Experience producing datasets and models to support analytics
• Python software development experience

Bonus points if you also have experience with:

• Healthcare data (Electronic Health Records, Clinical Data, Claims Data, etc.)
• dbt
• AWS
• Airflow
• GraphQL
• DataBricks
