Job Description

As a Security Professional - Logistics Patrol Full Time in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a busy logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to support a sense of security, and providing outstanding customer service through clear communication. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor and report on any suspicious activity or security-related incidents encountered during patrols.
• Communicate with site personnel and/or management regarding any security-related issues or incidents observed during shifts.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
