Job Description:
The Global Corporate Security (GCS) Research and Event Monitoring (REM) Intel Analyst Lead is responsible for leading real-time monitoring and analysis of global intelligence and media sources to identify events that may affect Bank of America's facilities, operations, or employees. These events include geopolitical developments, natural disasters, security threats, or other significant incidents that could prompt inquiries from senior leadership or require immediate action. The Shift Manager ensures timely and accurate dissemination of incident reports when Bank of America interests are affected, guiding the team in validating information and escalating alerts through direct communication and SOACC notifications. This role requires proactive oversight, rapid decision-making, and coordination with enterprise partners to support an effective organizational response.


Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitors global events and emerging threats, including geopolitical developments, natural disasters, and security incidents. Drives cross-functional coordination with enterprise partners to ensure timely, effective, and risk-informed responses as it relates to Bank of America’s facilities, operations, and employees.

  • Analyzes intelligence from diverse sources, including open-source platforms, social media, and enterprise systems, to produce clear, actionable reports for senior leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Maintains proactive communication with stakeholders, using advanced intelligence practices to provide early warnings and situational awareness of potential security risks.

  • Provides direct support and guidance to Intelligence Specialists, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in intelligence gathering and reporting.

  • Reviews, edits, and validates all distributed products for completeness, clarity, and compliance with quality standards before release.

  • Manages administrative tasks, including timesheet approval and shift scheduling, to ensure optimal coverage and operational readiness.

  • Collaborates on designing and delivering training programs to strengthen team capabilities in intelligence analysis and event monitoring.

  • Delivers formal coaching and performance feedback, documenting progress, escalating conflicts, or concerns to the Team Manager when necessary.

  • Actively contributes to team and management meetings, providing insights and recommendations to improve processes and team effectiveness.

  • Acts as a proxy for other Shift Managers and fills vacant positions as needed to ensure continuity of leadership and operational stability.

  • Maintains on-call availability outside scheduled hours to provide leadership and support during crisis events, ensuring rapid response and operational continuity.

Required Qualifications:

  • Intelligence Expertise: Experienced in intelligence analysis and open-source intelligence (OSINT) research, with proficiency in social media monitoring tools.

  • Advanced Research & Analytics: Demonstrated ability to conduct complex research and analysis using enterprise platforms and OSINT methodologies.

  • Attention to Detail & Accuracy: Highly perceptive with strong attention to detail; able to meet strict deadlines during crisis events.

  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong writing and editing skills for clear, concise reporting, and effective verbal communication for stakeholder engagement.

  • Interpersonal Effectiveness: Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams with professionalism and a positive attitude.
