Mechanical Component Engineer - Contract

About the Job:The Aeromechanical team at Pivotal is looking for a Mechanical Component Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. The individual in this role will be responsible for helping with managing component libraries and release management activities

Responsibilities

• Assess and select mechanical components based on technical specifications, performance, and cost considerations
• Maintain and update component libraries and documentation for accurate tracking and sourcing
• Monitor component lifecycle status and manage obsolescence issues
• Coordinate with suppliers to assess new components and ensure they meet required standards and specifications
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage product documentation, change actions, and revisions
• Work closely with design engineers to integrate components into new product designs and digital mockups
• Conduct reliability testing and failure analysis to ensure component quality and durability when required

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in mechanical component engineering or a related field
• Strong knowledge of mechanical components, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in CATIA V6 or other similar CAD software tools
• Proficiency in ENOVIA, Teamcenter or similar PLM Software
• Knowledge of release management processes and tools
• Experience with industry standards such as ASME, ISO, or similar for components
