Armed Security Officer – Courthouse SecurityLocation: Breckenridge, COSchedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMPay Rate: $27.00 per hour
Citadel Security USA is seeking a highly professional Armed Security Officer to provide protection and maintain order at the Breckenridge Courthouse. This is a weekday, daytime role ideal for individuals with strong situational awareness, exceptional judgment, and a commitment to public safety.

What You'll Do

As an Armed Courthouse Security Officer, you will serve as the first line of defense in a high-profile government setting. Your responsibilities will include:
• Courtroom & Facility Security: Monitor courtroom sessions, secure entrances, and ensure restricted areas remain protected
• Access Control: Screen individuals entering the courthouse and verify authorized personnel
• Security Presence & Defense: Maintain a visible and vigilant security presence to deter threats and ensure public safety
• Hazard Awareness & Risk Assessment: Identify, report, and respond to potential safety and security concerns
• Guidance & Customer Service: Greet and assist courthouse visitors with professionalism and courtesy
• Collaboration: Work closely with law enforcement, court officials, and security teams to uphold courtroom protocols and security procedures
• Incident Response & Documentation: Act promptly to security incidents and maintain accurate incident reports in compliance with legal and procedural standards

What You'll Need

• Age & Legal Requirements: Must be at least 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience: Prior professional firearm experience preferred; must legally possess a firearm and be authorized to carry it while on duty
• Communication Skills: Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing); Spanish a plus
• Technology: Basic tech skills with access to a working smartphone and email
• Background: Ability to pass a background check and urinalysis (if site-required)
• Transportation: Must have reliable transportation
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, Walk short distances or patrol within the building, occasionally bend, stoop, or lift up to 25 lbs., maintain alertness and focus in a controlled indoor environment, must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations (e.g., moving swiftly between rooms or levels within the courthouse)
