Your Day to Day as a Quality Dimensional Inspector 1: 

• Works with blueprints, written and verbal instructions. Use any and all types of measuring instruments including but not limited to measurement standards, gauges, and computerized inspection equipment. Inspects, accepts or rejects all products and components fabricated or in process. 

Required Qualifications:

• Shop math, gage methodology, table survey methods and basic inspection techniques.
• Blueprint reading
• Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• (3) years of manufacturing, or (2) years of manufacturing and (1) year of college(or formal education), or (1) year of manufacturing and 2 years of college (or formal education), or a 4 year bachelor's degree, or (5) years of general work experience is required. 
• Ability to pass qualification examination (if required) in selected areas is required.
• Must obtain Workkeys score required for specific job.
• Must be able to wear composite toe safety shoes and safety glasses.
• Pass eye test for vision and color blindness.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with no dual citizenship Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship. 
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduation from Machine Tool & Quality Program at Central Virginia Communit College, Danville Community College, or the ATDM program or similar qualified Dimensional Inspection Program is preferred.
• Quality Control experience is preferred.
