Available shift: Monday-Friday, 6am-6:30pm.
Pay rate: starts at $15.50/hour.
**This is a temp to hire position.**
Job Summary: The Production Team Member will be responsible for maintaining the highest production efficiencies and satisfying customer requirements. It will be essential that the Production Team Member supports and integrates Sizemore’s core values of Flexibility, Improvement, Reliability, Safety and Teamwork into the daily performance of assigned responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean work environment by following established safety policies and procedures.
- Support the Production Supervisor and Leads in daily operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Learn and adhere to standard operating procedures to ensure consistent quality and performance.
- Help manage workflow within the department to ensure consistent quality products to both internal and external customers.
- Participant in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in the use and maintenance of production tools and equipment.
- Provide support in tracking departmental performance measures and visual controls.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to enhance employee relations and overall production effectiveness.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct, always exhibiting a respectful and courteous demeanor.
- Ability to take supervision and follow all policies and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders
- Drives a culture of constant improvement, identifying and implementing changes to increase productivity and efficiency of service.
- Enforces Sizemore’s policies and procedures as needed.
- Additional duties assigned, as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or recipient of GED preferred.
- Previous manufacturing experience, preferred.
- 1-year continuous working experience required.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to a Safety-First culture.
- Demonstrate a commitment to service and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor.
- Possess patience, tact, enthusiasm as well as diplomacy when dealing with any person no matter the circumstances.
- Possess initiative and sound judgement in evaluating and reacting to situations.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in potentially stressful and time sensitive situations.
- Possess problem-solving skills with high attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision, read/comprehend detailed instructions and process information with accuracy and clarity.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and written.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to perform job duties which may include bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Must constantly stand and walk on concrete floors wearing safety boots during 8–10-hour shifts.
