About The Opportunity

We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor who will oversee inbound and outbound container movement between customer plants, ORBIS plants, cross‑docks, and suppliers. This role provides daily leadership to general labor and forklift teams, ensures timely container flow, and maintains strong relationships with customer partners.

In this role, you’ll coordinate shipping and receiving activities, align manpower to production demands, promote safety and quality, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and coordinate the shipping and receiving of reusable containers between customers, suppliers, and service centers.
  • Serve as the primary daily contact for the customer; ensure timely task completion and effective follow‑up.
  • Assess manpower needs based on production history and current workload.
  • Identify and communicate waste‑reduction opportunities tied to labor productivity.
  • Prepare equipment, facility, and operational reports.
  • Support layout design, striping, maintenance, and continuous improvement of work areas.
  • Ensure adherence to ORBIS safety policies and site safety rules.
  • Maintain 5S housekeeping standards throughout assigned areas.
  • Support and help improve quality policies, procedures, and compliance.
  • Perform data entry in spreadsheets and database systems.
  • Complete administrative tasks as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring — Experience, Skills & Education

Required

  • Experience working in warehousing, logistics, distribution, or production environments.
  • Prior experience leading hourly labor (general labor, forklift drivers, warehouse associates).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to assess workload and adjust staffing levels appropriately.
  • Basic proficiency with computers, spreadsheets, and data entry.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Preferred

  • Experience in container management, returnable packaging, or manufacturing support.
  • Prior experience working directly with automotive, industrial, or high‑volume production customers.
  • Experience with 5S or Lean/CI methodologies.

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel; occasional travel to customer sites, cross‑docks, or other ORBIS facilities as needed.

Work Environment

Primarily plant‑based with regular exposure to forklifts, warehouse activity, and standard industrial equipment. Frequent walking, standing, and interaction with warehouse labor teams.
