The Director of Clinical Engagement – Hepato-Pancreatic-biliary Cancer Surgery is a scientifically grounded professional to lead clinical engagement for a novel device used in HPD cancer surgery. This role is primarily external-facing and focused on engaging medical oncologists, tumor boards, and surgical stakeholders involved in the treatment of pancreatic, liver, and biliary tract cancers. The ideal candidate will drive awareness and clinical integration of the device by presenting evidence, delivering education, and building trusted relationships with thought leaders. This position will also help translate European clinical experiences and insights into U.S. educational efforts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead external clinical engagement for medical oncologists, hepatobiliary and surgical oncologists, and tumor boards on the integration of the company’s device into the management of pancreatic, liver, and biliary cancers.
• Present clinical and case-based evidence to support planning and intraoperative decision-making, aligning with FDA guidance on the dissemination of scientific information.
• Engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs), facilitate peer-to-peer presentations and master classes, manage KOL contracts, and gather insights to inform research, messaging, and product development.
• Respond to unsolicited medical information requests from healthcare professionals in a compliant, evidence-based manner.
• Represent the company at major national and international conferences, symposia, and educational events to both present data and stay abreast of emerging clinical trends.
• Translate European and international clinical experiences to support U.S. educational strategy and messaging.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical Affairs, Medical Education, Regulatory Affairs, Health Economics, R&D, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment and execution of strategic initiatives.
• Train internal teams (e.g., commercial, clinical support) on relevant oncology science, disease states, and product-specific data to ensure consistent and accurate messaging.
• Develop and coordinate educational content and resources to ensure consistent, compliant, and scientifically accurate external communications.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant literature and clinical studies; regularly communicate key findings and implications to internal stakeholders.
• Use digital tools and platforms including Microsoft Office, PowerBI, Salesforce, PubMed, and AcuityMD to support planning, tracking, and engagement activities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards, including obtaining necessary approvals for all scientific education initiatives and materials.

QUALIFICATIONS –The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required.
Education and Experience
▪ Advanced scientific or clinical degree (MS, PhD, PharmD, or MD) Level of Degree required
▪ Minimum 12 years of demonstrated experience in Oncology, with preference for hepatobiliary or gastrointestinal oncology exposure
▪ Deep understanding of oncology care pathways, multidisciplinary treatment decision-making, and tumor board dynamics
▪ Skilled at presenting clinical and scientific data in a balanced and clinically relevant manner to key opinion leaders
▪ Familiarity with FDA-compliant practices for scientific communication and external engagement
▪ Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and translate strategy into field execution
