Portfolio Analyst (Boston)

Insight is looking for a Portfolio Analyst to join the Investments Team in Boston.

The purpose of the role is to ensure the efficient management of FIG’s portfolios by performing a range of activities that enable portfolio positioning to be aligned with portfolio managers' investment decisions.

 Role Responsibilities

• Manage foreign exchange hedges across Fixed Income portfolios.
• Manage primary market trade instructions and hedge calculation for the portfolio management teams. New Bond set-up.
• Co-ordinate the transition of new and existing mandates. Assist in calculating and generating associated position adjustments. General oversight and steering.
• Manage Corporate Action responses.
• Manage ETD and OTC rolls.
• Assist in trade calculation and order generation.
• Check and sign off on the coding of guideline agreements in front office systems.
• Help ensure the resolution of portfolio guideline infringement alerts.
• Design and implement processes to aid the management of portfolios and to safeguard against known procedure limitations.
• Complete Front Office system user acceptance testing.

Experienced Required

• Degree level educated with 2/3+ years of industry experience.
• Willingness to work towards CFA Level I or equivalent
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to independently identify and mitigate risks.
• Good analytical and modelling skills.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Good knowledge and understanding of Insight’s processes and systems.
• Has some knowledge of financial markets and the investment management industry
