Wells Fargo is seeking a Healthcare Portfolio Manager Associate in the Commercial Banking group. This role will sit on our Specialized Industries – Healthcare team to work as a key member of deal teams that provide research, analysis, and underwriting to prepare recommendations to extend credit and monitor existing credit relationships. In this role, you will:
- Manage a complex credit portfolio of client relationships in Healthcare Portfolio Management within Commercial Banking
- Research complex financial and credit information for healthcare companies according to business unit standards
- Conduct due diligence, credit analysis, industry and business risk analysis, and financial modeling and projections in support of decision-making activities of loan underwriting, origination and structuring for Middle Market and Mid-Corporate sized healthcare companies
- Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with internal and external stakeholders to understand credit needs and represents the bank in developing and maintaining and growing client relationships
- Manage portfolio monitoring, renewals, and annual reviews
- Provide guidance to and assist with development of junior team members
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Underwriting experience including advanced commercial or specialty group relationship portfolio credit and leveraged credits
- Experience in originating, structuring, and executing bank lending transactions and other credit related products, for critical or complex clients
- Knowledge and understanding of risk management and complex credit executions related to acquisition financing and bridge underwriting
- Strong analytical skills including analyzing complex data
- Ability to perform in depth commercial financial statement analysis
- Knowledge and understanding of debt and equity capital markets
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including using Excel for financial analysis and projection modeling
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, including ability to present to decision makers and customers in a professional and confident manner
- Experience with nCino
- A BS/BA degree or higher
Job Expectations:
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

- Ability to work a hybrid work schedule
