Serviceability is a critical aspect of our product lifecycle strategy, ensuring our solutions remain easy to maintain, repair, and optimize throughout their operational lifespan. As we continue to expand and enhance our Drives product portfolio, we are looking for a Product Manager, Serviceability to lead and develop our serviceability strategy across multiple product lines.
Job Responsibilities
In this role, you will be a key driver in ensuring that serviceability requirements are embedded into the product development process from the outset. You will collaborate with Product owners, Supply Chain, Aftermarket Services, and other key stakeholders to create robust service concepts, optimize maintenance and repair strategies, and ensure our customers receive the highest level of support. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the way Danfoss Drives products are serviced and sustained globally.
As our new Product Manager, Serviceability, you will:
- Define and establish comprehensive serviceability requirements in product development projects to ensure optimal ease of maintenance and repairability.
- Lead and facilitate Design for Service workshops, ensuring that serviceability is an integral part of early-stage product development.
- Provide expert guidance and support on service-related aspects of product modifications, ensuring that changes enhance the overall serviceability strategy.
- Define and implement best practices for serviceability, aligning with industry standards and customer expectations.
- Work with service teams to ensure they have the necessary training, tools, and documentation to efficiently support our products.
- Act as a liaison between engineering, service teams, and commercial teams, ensuring alignment between product development and customer service needs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance total cost of ownership and customer satisfaction.
Background & Skills
To thrive in this role, you should have a strong technical background combined with a service-oriented and business-driven mindset. You are structured, proactive, and adept at managing multiple stakeholders to drive continuous serviceability improvements.
We also imagine that you:
- Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Have 5+ years of experience in service, product development, or Product Lifecycle management.
- Possess strong knowledge of frequency converters, industrial automation, and power electronics.
- Have a proven ability to work cross-functionally with Product Management,, supply chain, and service organizations.
- Are experienced in developing and executing service strategies that optimize cost, efficiency, and customer experience.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive serviceability initiatives across global teams.
- Are highly organized, with strong project management skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Have fluency in English (spoken and written); additional language skills are a plus.
