About the role

Corestream (corestream.com) is seeking a Business Analyst. This person will join an empowered product management organization and will be responsible for helping us define the requirements and acceptance criteria to transition our book of clients to a new flexible and scalable voluntary benefits platform.  The right candidate will have a proven Business Analyst track record, ideally in a product management context, and will be someone who’s excited about being groomed to become a Technical Product Manager.  We’re looking for someone who has experience with delivering scalable technology solutions, someone with strong technical expertise, cross-functional partnership skills, customer empathy, hypothesis driven thinking and flawless execution. 
Corestream is headquartered in Tampa, FL although work can be completed from a remote location. Occasional travel of up to 10% might be required for team events or in-person working sessions.

Your Mission

  • Work with a cross-functional team of Technical PMs, Engineers and Designers to bring the new Benefits Administration platform to market within a 12-18 month time frame
  • Drive additional improvements to the new platform

Responsibilities

  • Do client-by-client analysis and define the requirements and critical path for transitioning our full book of business to the new flexible and scalable Voluntary Benefit Administration platform that reduces issues for clients (employers, carriers, etc.) and allows us to scale with technology vs people
  • Drive forward our understanding of client, provider and employee needs around voluntary benefit offerings and integrations and become the expert for how we could go about addressing those needs with technology
  • Explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Outline an easy to understand roadmap focused on outcomes and customer and business value
  • Leverage product discovery best practice. Rapidly iterate, acquire the needed data and user feedback, interpret it, and then take action to course correct
  • Drive sense of urgency for the team to deliver outcomes and use lean tools and techniques to more rapidly deliver results
  • Think outside the box, challenge the status quo and be a thought partner and leader focused on identifying the right customer problem to solve and solving the problem right
  • Influence the strategic direction of the benefits platform and from there the company, while giving and receiving feedback with grace and humility
  • Be a strong partner for your own development team and work to build a strong team culture

Recipe for Success

  • 2-3 years experience as technical Business Analyst
  • Track record of creating and delivering on long-term business and product strategies in an agile product development environment
  • Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights - familiarity with Excel, SQL, PowerBI a plus
  • Superior communication skills and excellent stakeholder management abilities; able to navigate a complex business working model, explain complex technical concepts in simple terms, incorporate input from customers of the platform into the roadmap and generate buy-in for ideas and plans
  • The ability to think and perform both tactically and strategically; you’re as comfortable defining goals as well as you are executing
  • The ability to deal with extreme technical and business ambiguity and rapidly changing environments; you have the ability to pivot quickly and react to real-time data
