Job Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for a Director Commercial Operations to contribute to our team in LaVergne, TN just outside Nashville. 

In this role, you will provide strategic focus and leadership for the development and implementation of a global integrated business architecture, to include catalog connectivity, sales operations, and order management systems.  You’ll develop an integrated view of the ICG businesses, illustrating the alignment between strategic goals and key business decisions. As the Director Commercial Operations, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across the organization (Sales, Product, IT, and Operations) to create processes and reporting that enable the organization to measure performance and make timely decisions that are key in driving the profitability and growth of the business.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years’ experience within the book or related industry
  • 5 years’ experience in project management
  • 5 years’ experience in business analysis
  • 5 years’ experience working on a team to manage products/platforms
  • 2 years’ experience in a people or project leadership role

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience using a B2B platform
  • Experience with EDI and API’s

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages global OMS, to include global ipage and mobile stock check app, sales operations, and catalog connectivity.
  • Catalog optimization: ensuring the three sources of supply (LSI, IPS, and Wholesale) are fully optimized in the Ingram feeds to customers. Create and manage a smart catalog that allows Ingram to curate a custom feed for channel partners.
  • Provides technical leadership in the planning, design, and development of ICG’s business connectivity, aka “FEEDS”.
  • Works with IT to create Catalog Anomaly Detection and process for measuring catalog connectivity health.
  • Analyzes the activities of the business and makes recommendations pertaining to the projects that the business should perform and provides relevant and timely corrections to the technical architecture and the structure of business information, as it relates to customer’s ability to order.
  • Provides analysis of business motivations and business operations through the use of a business analysis framework and related networks that link “business connectivity” with customers.
  • Implements and monitors business connectivity objectives and ensures that aggressive plans are in place to meet stated targets. 
  • Establishes and reports on metrics around the feeds being sent out, consumed, and monitored. These reports would be integrated into a “Customer Health Report”.
  • Conducts “requirement gathering sessions” with key stakeholders and partners with IT, Sales and other ICG departments to ensure strategic needs are being met.
  • Directs the development of standard and consistent business architectural practices for the connectivity through development and management of processes necessary to ensure that business, technology solutions and operational processes meet the strategic needs of the company.
  • Interacts across ICG to analyze the existing resources and to define the operational processes necessary to achieve the business goals.
  • Define, analyze and suggest improvements to the structural relationships between the business and other ICG business units, through the creation of an on-going model of roles, capabilities, and business units and the relationships between business units in various business and systems
