Most of our teams work remotely and have access to our offices in Denver, Colorado, New, York, New York, Dallas, Texas, and Lisbon, Portugal with some roles requiring you to be on-site in a location.
Cleerly has created a new standard of care for heart disease through value-based, AI-driven precision diagnostic solutions with the goal of helping prevent heart attacks. Our technology goes beyond traditional measures of heart disease by enabling comprehensive quantification and characterization of atherosclerosis, or plaque buildup, in each of the heart arteries. Cleerly’s solutions are supported by more than a decade of performing some of the world’s largest clinical trials to identify important findings beyond symptoms that increase a person’s risk of heart attacks.
At Cleerly, we collaborate digitally and use a wide variety of systems. Our people use Google Workspace (GMail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides), Slack, Confluence/Jira, and Zoom Video, prior experience in these areas is a plus. Role or department specific technology needs may vary and will be listed as requirements in the job description.
While we are mostly a remote company, travel is required for some team meetings and cross function projects typically once per month or once per quarter, for some roles like sales or external facing roles travel could be up to 90% of the time.The Director of Pricing & Contracting will lead the development and execution of pricing, reimbursement, and payer/provider/accounts contracting strategies for Cleerly’s portfolio. This role will partner cross-functionally with Sales, Market Access, Finance, Legal and Clinical teams to design innovative pricing models and ensure sustainable revenue growth while improving patient access.
Leads the development of financial analyses and pre-deal scenarios to develop bids and negotiation strategy; informs Business Units about contract negotiations and obtains approval of pricing decisions and negotiation sequencing; develops presentations and obtains Pricing Committee approval of contracting strategies and individual bids, leads the redline process to commit agreed upon deal terms to implemented contracts.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing Strategy & Governance
- Develop and manage pricing strategies across commercial and government channels for Cleerly’s diagnostic and digital health offerings.
- Build frameworks for value-based pricing, risk-sharing agreements, and novel reimbursement models tailored to healthcare providers, payers, and integrated delivery networks.
- Monitor competitive landscape, healthcare economics, and regulatory trends to inform strategy. Contracting Leadership
- Establish contract standards, templates, and approval processes in collaboration with Legal and Compliance.
- Oversee contract governance, approval workflows, and audit readiness.
- Develop strategic terms and conditions to be utilized in negotiations with payers, health systems, GPOs, and other stakeholders to secure coverage and growth.
- Evaluate contract performance, ensure compliance, and optimize financial and strategic outcomes.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate with Market Access, Payer Field Teams, and Commercial Marketing to support access, coverage, and utilization goals.
- Partner with Finance to forecast revenue impact, model pricing scenarios, and ensure financial sustainability.
- Work closely with Clinical/HEOR teams to integrate evidence into pricing and value communication.
Analytics & Insights
- Build dashboards and tools to track pricing performance, reimbursement trends, and contract profitability. ▪ Provide executive-level insights and recommendations to drive business decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Finance/Accounting, Business Administration, Science or Pharmacy. MBA a plus.
- Solid understanding of the U.S. Healthcare environment required.
- 10+ years of experience in US Pharma / biotech / healthcare industry, with experience in sales, marketing, financial analysis, contracting, and/or pricing preferred.
