Team Overview:

Decision Management Program (DMP) is a sophisticated, industry-leading intelligence with a range of capabilities that structure and apply complex business logic across the payment journey and beyond to inform and accelerate decisions at scale at Mastercard.

The Authorization Decisioning product within DMP combines DMP's powerful capabilities with access to all authorization messages available within Mastercard. With access to the full extent of transactions as they happen, Authorization Decisioning can extract intelligence, add intelligence, and make decisions, all customizable to market-facing products. With the ability to bi-directionally consume and apply intelligence, Authorization Decisioning can transform insights into immediate operational action.

The DMP team is looking for someone to join the Authorization Decisioning product as As a Software Engineering Manager at Mastercard, you will lead a team of talented engineers to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions. You will be responsible for technical oversight, people development, and strategic alignment across multiple initiatives. This role requires a balance of technical depth, leadership maturity, and operational excellence.

Role:

Grow and develop engineering talent through coaching, mentoring, and career planning.
Foster a psychologically safe and inclusive team culture that encourages innovation and speaking up.
Ensure adherence to Mastercard’s SDLC, architecture standards, and DevOps practices.
Drive technical excellence through code reviews, defect management, and release ownership.
Champion innovation labs and feature lead initiatives to promote technical growth and leadership development.
Align engineering efforts with business goals and product roadmaps.
Manage delivery velocity, resource allocation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Own release cycles, including planning, execution, and post-release defect reviews.
Play a crucial part in helping drive Quality to help build and ship better products.

All About You:

Proficient experience in Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a product manager or product leader with a focus on technical platforms, ideally within AI, data, or decisioning domains.
Strong understanding of modern technology practices (APIs, microservices, cloud, data platforms) and ability to engage with engineers at a detailed level.• Experience aligning technical capabilities with business objectives to deliver measurable outcomes.
Ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to both technical and business stakeholders.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.• Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and mentoring technical product managers.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated leadership skills in matrix-based teams and working with diverse, geographically distributed members.
