About The Team:

Our External Client Support Team is dedicated to supporting our external clients’ testing needs. We provide comprehensive technical development guidance, data and environment support, and defect troubleshooting to help clients meet their timelines and deliverables. We collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to ensure detailed API flows, environment readiness, and smooth testing execution.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate in the design phase to detail API flows, data requirements, and client testing plans.

  • Coordinate testing schedules with AIMs and clients.

  • Set up and validate QA client environments, including SOCs and Dealer Codes.

  • Procure, create, validate, and deliver internal QA data to clients.

  • Serve as the single point of contact for client issues, providing triage, troubleshooting, tracking, and defect history.

  • Support sustainment and regression testing activities for AT&T and client releases.

  • Perform environment shakeouts for over 100 APIs before major releases.

  • Conduct daily sanity checks for 25+ APIs to ensure continuous testing support.

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans and strategies.

  • Implement and enhance test automation to improve coverage and regression reliability.

  • Collaborate with Program Managers, Development Leads, and Architects to identify test scenarios.

  • Develop data and environment strategies addressing performance, scalability, reliability, and security.

  • Report defects, analyze test results, and prepare test metrics and reports.

  • Communicate progress proactively through governance calls, stand-ups, reports, and escalations.

  • Coordinate across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to facilitate certification and production deployment.

What You'll Need To Bring:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on software quality assurance and testing experience.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with knowledge of application architecture.

  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL query writing.

  • Proficiency in automation testing tools and strategies in integrated test environments.

  • Experience with API testing, microservices, email/SMS communications, file feeds, and UI components.

  • Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM and DevOps methodologies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple tasks.

  • Self-motivated and works well independently and collaboratively.

  • Strong client communication and issue resolution skills.

Nice To Have:

  • Experience as a test lead or test architect with responsibility for large-scale projects.

  • Familiarity with defect triage and tracking tools.

  • Background in performance, usability, security, and scalability testing.

  • Experience in continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) environments.

Required Qualifications:

- 3-5 years of related experience.

Desired Qualifications:

- Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field.

- Experience in building multiple versions systems addressing performance and scale.

- Experience developing technical documentation on applications and systems. - Ability to work with technical and business-oriented teams.

Our Senior System Engineering, earns between $130,700-$196,100 USD Annual not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
