Position Description

Title: Student Government Association

Working Period: Academic Year

Weekly Hours: Executive Board: 2 hours/week, Senators/Representatives: 1 hour/week

Amount: $20/hour

Attendance and Eligibility for Payment

Any unexcused absence from a Senate meeting (for both Senators and E-board members) will result in the member not being paid for that week.

If the absence is excused, the member must submit a one-paragraph summary to the Executive Vice President (EVP) detailing their progress and contributions to SGA-related work during that week to remain eligible for payment.

E-board Attendance Specifics

E-board members who miss an E-board meeting, regardless of excuse status, will not be paid for the 1 hour associated with that meeting.

Mandatory Events Clause

For any mandatory event designated by the SGA, members must attend both the event and that week’s Senate meeting in order to receive payment. The same excused/unexcused absence rules and EVP summary requirement apply.

Oversight and Enforcement

The Executive Vice President, in collaboration with the SGA Advisor and the Internal Affairs Board, shall be responsible for tracking compliance, verifying submissions, and determining excused vs. unexcused absences.
