These innovative products are used worldwide by scientists, researchers and engineers at renowned institutions and government agencies.</p><p>To strengthen our pre-sales process, we are expanding our team with a</p><p><strong>Sales Application Engineer<br/> 32–40 hours per week</strong></p><p>As our new Sales Application Engineer, you’ll support our sales team with technical expertise. You’ll advise customers, many of whom are engineers themselves, on how to implement Nortek instruments in their ships, subsea systems, and global research projects. This includes every step from demos and proposals to integration support and system setup. Your work helps customers choose the right solution for their project or vessel, so they can better understand coastal water dynamics, work safely, and contribute to the sustainable use of marine environments.</p><p>You’ll report to the Manager Sales &amp; Marketing and work closely with colleagues in Sales, Marketing and Support.</p><p><strong>Your key responsibilities include:</strong></p><ul> <li>Translating customer needs into feasible, scalable and practical solutions</li> <li>Giving product demonstrations and answering detailed technical questions</li> <li>Assisting with technical proposals, configurations, and documentation</li> <li>Advising on integration challenges for both surface and subsea vehicles</li> <li>Conducting site acceptance tests and ensuring a smooth technical handover </li> </ul><p><strong>‘True innovation makes a difference’ </strong></p><p>Nortek designs, develops and produces scientific instruments that apply the Doppler principle to underwater acoustics, in order to measure water in motion. We provide truly innovative, robust and accurate instruments, backed up by advanced software and comprehensive support to ensure that our customers maximize the value of their measurements. </p><p>Our solutions make a big difference!</p><p><strong>Are you the Sales Application Engineer that fits with us?</strong></p><ul> <li>You have a technical degree (HBO or MSc) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Technology, or a similar technical field</li> <li>1–3 years of experience in a technical or customer-facing role (internship including)</li> <li>You can clearly explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences</li> <li>Curious, ambitious, and eager to grow in a tech-driven environment</li> <li>Your English is of an excellent level, both orally and in writing, (Dutch or Polish is a plus)</li> <li>You live in the Netherlands and have a driver’s license B</li> </ul><p><strong>What can you expect from us?</strong></p><ul> <li>An initial one-year contract, with the option for permanent employment</li> <li>A salary starting from € 3.000 grosse per month on a full-time basis (depending on your experience) </li> <li>A hybrid working setup based in Hoofddorp, with occasional visits to customer sites, yards, or vessels abroad</li> <li>A meaningful role in a growing international tech company, contributing to both sustainable coastal management and reliable subsea navigation.</li> <li>25 vacation days, company car (EV), laptop, mobile phone, travel allowance, and pension contribution</li> <li>Great onboarding via the Nortek Academy in Norway</li> <li>A close-knit international team with short lines of communication and room for initiative.
