The Opportunity / Who We Seek We are looking for an accomplished HR Specialist to join our Human Resources team as part of our financial services business in the Cayman Islands. The Cayman Islands is home to our global headquarters and where the Maples Group first established operations in the 1960s. Since then we have grown to become one of the largest employers in Cayman, where colleagues from all over the world collaborate to deliver best-in-class solutions to clients worldwide. As part of our Cayman team you will:
- Provide support and guidance to the HR coordinators and acts as a point of escalation to resolve complex cases.
- Conduct quality checks and audits to ensure quality, accuracy and completeness of the deliverables of the HR coordinators he/she oversees.
- Follow-up with dissatisfied employees / customers to ensure their concerns are heard and that their feedback is brought back to the HR Shared Service team for customer service and process improvement consideration.
- Identify root cause of issues and partner with HR leadership through sharing of employee feedback, prioritization, and metrics that qualify impact of issue
- Identify and lead efforts to improve customer service excellence and efficiency
- Support the transition of new responsibilities to the HR Shared Services team
- Such other functions or projects as may be determined from time to time by the HR leadership.
- Degree in Human Resources or Business Management
- 3 years experience in HR Operations/Shared Services
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Exhibit patience, empathy, and positivity
- Have strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Working knowledge of HR systems, case management, knowledge base portal, and reporting tools.
