The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Operations Analyst to join our growing Member Data Spoke team. This role requires a data expert with a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrated expertise in data mining, cleaning, and transformation, and experience with a variety of data analysis tools including SQL, Python, and other relevant data analysis technologies. They must be comfortable working with large datasets and possess a meticulous attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Excellent communication skills are essential; the candidate must be able to clearly and concisely communicate complex information and analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
Responsibilities will include conducting in-depth analysis of member channel and analytical data to identify key trends, patterns, and potential areas for improvement. This will involve developing and presenting insightful analytical summaries and reports to inform strategic decision-making. This position demands a proactive and results-oriented analyst capable of navigating complex challenges, delivering timely data-driven insights, and contributing to a data-driven culture within the Member Data Spoke organization.
Consults with the business to understand and define opportunities and recommends solutions by analyzing data and providing key insights to inform decisions. Provides subject matter expertise on all matters of business analytical or operational data needs. Works closely with enterprise and business process owners to integrate data analytics into business processes to improve business performance.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position will be based in our San Antonio, TX facility. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What you'll do:
- Partners and collaborates with the business and Information Technology to meet the needs for COSA data reporting, analytics and complex projects deliverables.
- Performs complex compilation, analysis and reporting of COSA data; delivers key insights and recommendations on data trends to inform leaders and drive decisions
- Applies advanced subject matter technical knowledge in consulting and advising business partners on ad hoc or undefined matters related to business analytics and decision support solutions.
- Identifies and pursues opportunities to utilize advanced data delivery and business solutions techniques to optimize their contribution to resolving business issues.
- Proactively and fluidly interacts across key stakeholders to deliver and increase efficiency and effectiveness of the reporting needs.
- Influences key stakeholders on approaches and solutions for data reporting, analytics and complex projects deliverables.
- Applies intermediate knowledge of information systems and data infrastructure to provide business and technical guidance to internal clients.
- Maintains a strong understanding of business processes, supporting data and applications and strategic direction.
- Proactively communicates between business/enterprise processes and analytics team to improve delivery, value and integration of analytics into business/enterprise processes.
- Partners with technology group to define business requirements, perform user acceptance testing and implement changes.
- Provides guidance to junior analysts to further technical acumen with data & analytics community.
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or related degree discipline is required; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
