Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Officer in Sunnyvale, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. In this people-first role, you will support access control needs, assist visitors and staff, and deliver strong customer service and communication while working with a reliable team that values agility, innovation, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, common areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, trespassing, and/or policy violations while maintaining a visible presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
