As the Operations Manager at Purple Circle, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the founder, Davis Nguyen, in launching and growing the startup. You will have the opportunity to make a significant difference by managing different teams and key initiatives, ensuring continuous engagement with the individuals Purple Circle aims to assist.

In this role, you will be in charge of:

πŸ”Ή Hiring, coaching, and managing the marketing, sales, fulfilment, and operations teams.

πŸ”Ή Project-managing key initiatives to drive growth and efficiency.

πŸ”Ή Collaborating with Davis to ensure a high level of engagement with the individuals Purple Circle serves.

In the first few weeks, you will be instrumental in setting up systems and processes, enabling smooth operations and efficient workflow. This will involve planning, designing, and executing the implementation of essential frameworks that support the company's objectives. Working directly with the founder Davis, you will have the opportunity to learn from his expertise and guidance, receiving support every step of the way.

This is a full-time role and you need to have at least 2-3 hours overlap between 8 AM and 6 PM US Eastern Time.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you need to have:

  • Successful leadership and management experience in sales and marketing teams, with a proven track record in guiding and motivating teams to achieve results.
  • Direct involvement in building a company (highly preferred). Previous exposure to this environment will provide valuable insights and an understanding of Purple Circle's mission and objectives.
  • Proficiency in utilizing project management tools such as Asana, Airtable, and Google Suite. Your familiarity with these platforms will streamline workflows and enhance collaboration within the teams.
  • An innate fire and drive to hold yourself and others accountable to high standards. Setting, enforcing, and living up to these standards is second nature to you.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring that nothing slips through the cracks and derails operations.
  • A startup mentality, willing to roll up your sleeves and dive into the work. Your proactive approach and execution-oriented mindset set you apart.
  • Ability to anticipate and plan for the worst-case scenarios, ensuring preparedness and adaptability in any situation.

  • Experience in making sales calls, demonstrating a strong ability to engage with potential customers and close deals effectively.
  • Background in building a membership community, showcasing your skills in cultivating a sense of belonging and fostering engagement among members.
